Hutchinson 3rd Fall-2022 HN Algebra 2-S1 Assignments

Additional skill will be added tomorrow. This is just a start for after the quiz today.

HAND create a Brochure on Factoring.  Due at the beginning of class on Friday.

Students will complete the worksheet in class and work on their Brochure. 

GOAL: Sink battleships! The player to sink all their opponents battleships, or the most in
the allotted timeframe, is the winner.
DIRECTIONS:
1 – Each player secretly marks the 5 battleships grid on the TOP of their sheet with the number of
battleships stated in the directions. They do this by drawing a ship, marking an X, shading the box, etc.
in the spaces they select. The BOTTOM battleship grid is what they use to select spaces to attack their
opponent.
2 – Each player calls out a letter and number that identifies a column and row from the BOTTOM grid in
an attempt to name a space that contains an opponent's ship. Each player then solves the problem and
states their answer to their opponent.
3 – AFTER each player solves the problem, the opponent checks that space in the TOP grid and states
whether they “hit” or “missed” a battleship. In the TOP grid, each player should cross off the spaces the
opponent attacked and answered correctly. In the BOTTOM grid, each player should also cross off
spaces and write HIT for the spaces they attacked and sunk a ship in order to keep track of sunken
ships. If they did not answer correctly, they can try attacking that space again on a different turn.

Log on IXL to take Diagnostic which will appear on your screen as soon as you login.  This is due by Friday.  The due date is set by the county and cannot be adjusted. 
When finished,  start the skills which have been recommended by your teacher on the top.  The skills are an assignment  for a grade.

Your Delta math will have you in 2 classes for a short time.  Choose the correct class at the top of your screen.  We will be migrating for the non- Google classroom version to the Google Classroom version with this unit.

Unit 3 Test will be Tuesday.  ( You do not have to do the paper version of the Study Guide.)

Be sure to check that you have submitted all work from Thursday and Friday of last week.  If  you didn't make it to class last week, you can pick up the note papers from the front office or print them at home.
