FINANCIAL PLANS
a. Projected Start-up Costs
b. Potential Sources of Capital (Where are you going to get the money to start? You
cannot just state “From a Bank”! Banks are very particular on who they lend
money to so you must be able to prove that you are a good credit risk and your
business will turn a profit. Do research!!

MARKETING
a. Promotional Activities
b. How are you going to get the word out about your business?

Include the following - Create three unique publications or promotional materials.
i. Promotional Flyer
ii. Web banner design/ Social Media ad
iii. Postcard of grand opening or first order discount.

ORGANIZATION
a. Ownership (Sole Proprietorship) - what are the advantages of this type of
ownership?
b. Business Needs (Building/Office, Employees/Staff, etc.)
c. Start-up Inventory (of products to sell)
d. Supplies (General needs – paper, printer, computers, etc.)

COMPETITION
Who is your competition in this area (or surrounding areas – Jacksonville, Savannah)? List the businesses and locations.
How will you set yourself apart from the competition – need specific examples?

COVER PAGE
Create a cover page of your Business Plan. The cover needs to include your logo and business name (font & size of choice) centered vertically and horizontally on the page. In the bottom footer include your name, Business & Technology and block. Use colors that coordinate with your logo on your cover page. This can be created in Word and uploaded or in Google Docs.

BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY
a. Description of Business
i. Why create this type of Business?
ii. How is this business going to be set apart from online monthly services?

b. Core Philosophy
i. What values are you going to stress for your employees and customers?
ii. Customer Service – describe how this will be handled at your business?

BUSINESS ANALYSIS
Employees
a. Education requirements
b. Training requirements for employees

Strengths & Weaknesses
a. What are the strengths of your business?
b. What are the weaknesses of your business?

THE BUSINESS PLAN (Final Part 1)


Notebook Requirements
Business Plan Task: Create your own business (school appropriate) and create a business plan around it. The goods or service must be an original idea that is not currently on the market. 
 
Each individual will be responsible for completing a Business Plan notebook. Each notebook
should include the following sections and each section should be a minimum of 2-paragraphs. You will also need to include a Title Page (Name of Business, Logo, and your name).
Page Setup – Each section will need a 2-paragraph report. Open a blank Google document,
change font to Times New Roman and set spacing to double. Add a 2” top margin, Center the title of the page (section name) in ALL CAPS, bold, and size 14. Go back to Left margin and change font size to 12. Indent paragraphs and make sure to have a minimum of 5 sentences in
each.

The final part of the Business plan is the presentation to the investors. This is the last piece of the project and will be combined with your reports for your final in this class. This can be completed on Slides or PowerPoint (just don't forget to upload)

Once you have selected your country (that starts with the first letter of your first name) you may begin your research using the worksheet below.
Part 1 - Research worksheet

Download the worksheet into an Excel File first NOT a Google Sheet

Open Excel. You will create your own Halloween picture using the fill cell command. Watch the video to help you get started if you unsure of how to start. You have the option to pick your own. Look up examples on the Internet to give you some ideas.  When finished upload back to Google Classroom in this dropbox.

The test has been taken down. If you were absent contact Mrs. Mason about a time to make it up. 

Open up a BLANK workbook. Type the following data into your spreadsheet. Once you type it create an "IF statement" starting in cell B2 that tells whether or not the student's grade is considered an A or not. Remember an IF statement requires a logical test, if true, and then if false. When finished upload back here! Look at your workbook from yesterday for help.

Mrs. Mason will assign groups and Excel Functions. If you are not present please send Mrs. Mason an email for special instructions.

Download the excel file. Create a 3-D clustered column chart. When you create your chart chose the option to move the chart to a new sheet. Name the sheet "Fiction Book Sales". The chart style should be 7. The title of the chart should be "Fiction Book Sales".  I have attached the solution. If there are other elements to the solution that you do not have on your chart see if you can figure out how to make them identical. Once completed upload here!

Open a blank Excel workbook. Type numbers 1-10 in individual cells in column A. (HINT: You will have a different number in 10 different cells). Example cell A1 will contain the number 1, cell A2 will have the number 2. When you are finished, insert the average function for the range A1: A10 into cell A11. Next insert the MINIMUM(MIN) function for range A1:A10 into cell A12. Then insert the MAXIMUM (MAX) function for range A1:A10 in cell A13. (HINT: all three functions can be inserted using the formulas tab.)

It's typing Wednesday. Instead of going to Typing.com, this time we will be going to NitroType and completing three races where you will record your words per minute and accuracy. When you finish you will turn it in HERE!!! You should have five entries. 

This will be apart of your FBLA Project. Instead of the total being 100 it is now 110. Today's assignment is worth 10 points. You must research and prepare a presentation (8 slides with pictures and title slide included) to understand types of business models/ownerships. 

How many projects have you completed on your FBLA project rubric at hand? How many points total do you have right now? BE HONEST

I have narrowed down the games to two. Pick the one you think we should decorate our door around.

Next week is Homecoming week. We will be decorating our classroom door. The theme is the "Game of Life". We will select a famous board game or card game to decorate our door around. Name a board game or card game (school appropriate) that we could do. There are some games that have already been selected that we can not do those include: Monopoly, CandyLand, Uno, Sorry, Operation, Guess Who, Pacman, Checkers. Tomorrow I will narrow down the results and we will pick a final tomorrow.

Download the spreadsheet (click three dots in right corner, click open in new window, then click download button) and create formulas' for the grocery list spreadsheet. You will need two formulas. (1 for total and 1 for average). Upload when finished.

Click on the link below and click the "View Webinar" link at the top of the page. To access the video, participants will be prompted to answer a brief set of questions. For this extra credit you will be watching a webinar. 


You will learn about 9/11 through personal stories from 9/11 family members Cait Leavey, Brielle Saracini, and John Spade, first responders from the FDNY and PAPD, or a student on 9/11. Pick one person's session to attend. After the session write a one (full) page reflection (does not have to be a certain number of paragraphs). Reflection must be in MLA format.

Today we will be giving back to our community by making "Thank you" cares for all of the healthcare workers who are out on the line working hard everyday to help stop the ongoing pandemic. If you are here you will complete this on paper and if you are not you will do this on a Google Doc and I will print it out. Don't just put thank you on it, put some pictures and maybe a saying or two to know that you appreciate them!
