Standard/s: Extension of MGSE9-12.G.SRT.8 Use trigonometric ratios and the Pythagorean Theorem to solve right triangles in applied problems. MGSE9-12.G.SRT.6 Understand that by similarity, side ratios in right triangles are properties of the angles in the triangle, leading to definitions of trigonometric ratios for acute angles.

Learning Target:

I will use the law of sines and cosines to solve for missing parts of triangles.

Success Criteria:  I can recall the law of sines and the law of cosines. I can set up the formulas and plug in values correctly. I can determine when to use law of sines and when to use law of cosines.

Introduction/Connection: 

Review using trig functions for right triangles.
