Pirate Prep Warm Up
Instructional Strategies:
- Opening (I do): Shmoop video, followed by Notes in on steps of how to graph a linear equation.
- Work Session (We do-You do): We will begin a graphing handout with a few questions reviewing how to solve to y=mx+b. Some problems will be completed with teacher guidance, and the remaining will be independently completed by the student.
- Closing (We check): Students will come to the board to share solutions.
Differentiation Strategies: Scaffolding throughout lesson and applications will be provided for rigor. Students will work with pairs at some points throughout the assignment.
Formative/Summative Assessment(s) (We check): Ticket out the door.
Assignment:
- Linear Equations Test – next Friday, October 14th
- Linear Equations Review Session – next Thursday after school, October 13th
