Learning Target:

I will solve systems of equations.

Success Criteria:

  • I can solve by using the graphing method.
  • I can solve by using the substitution method.
  • I can solve by using the elimination method.

Introduction/Connection: 

Pirate Prep

Review the process of all three types of systems of equations. 

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

Provide instruction on using Flipgrid and expectations for the activity in describing which method you prefer and why.

Work Period  (We Do, You Do)

Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.  Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period.

GUIDED PRACTICE: 

None.   

INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION:

Students will gather their information and form a flipgrid video of their preference in solving systems of equations using flipgrid.

Describe the instructional process that will be used to close the lesson and check for student understanding .
