Learning Target: I will create and solve algebraic equations.

Success Criteria: I can solve a literal equation for a specific variable.

Pirate Prep Warm Up

Instructional Strategies:

• Opening (I do): Watch introductory video & complete notes in notebook.
• Work Session (We do-You do): Students will complete sample assignments with the teacher as examples.  
• Closing (We check): Students will come to the board to share answers. Class discussions will form when necessary.

Differentiation Strategies: Scaffolding throughout lesson and applications will be provided for rigor. Students will work with pairs at some points throughout the assignment.

Formative/Summative Assessment(s) (We check): Exit ticket.
