Standard(s): MGSE9-12.A.REI.10 & 11 Algebra 1 Standards – Converting to Slope-Int. Form

Learning Target: I will create, solve, and graph a linear equation (or inequality).

Success Criteria:

·         I can identify & write a linear equation in the following forms:

o   Slope-intercept form

o   Point-slope form

o   Standard form

o   Convert to slope-intercept form

Pirate Prep Warm Up

Instructional Strategies:

• Opening (I do): Review ticket-out-the-door from yesterday. Review solving literal equations, specifically for slope-intercept form
• Work Session (We do-You do): Complete example problems from handout.  
• Closing (We check): Students will complete the remaining problems on the worksheet and they will be checked on the board.  

Differentiation Strategies: Scaffolding throughout lesson and applications will be provided for rigor. Students will work with pairs at some points throughout the assignment.

Formative/Summative Assessment(s) (We check): Students will use their grade print out to complete any missing work.

Assignment:

• Slope-Intercept Quiz – Thursday, October 6th
• September Monthly Discussion due Friday, September 30th.
