Learning Target:

·         I will solve a quadratic equation.    

Success Criteria:

  • I can factor quadratic expressions.
    • Identify a quadratic expression.
    • Use the x-method to organize my work.
    • Identify the GCF.
    • Label the A, B, & C value of a quadratic equation.
    • Identify my factors of the “a and c” value.
    • Identify which factors of “a and c” add to give me the “b” value.
    • Write answers in factored form.

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

None.

Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.  Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period.

TKES 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. 8,10

GUIDED PRACTICE: 

The teacher will go over any questions asked by students and complete two examples on todays work.

INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION:

The students will finish their worksheet from yesterday and then complete their worksheet from today.

Closing  (We Check)

Describe the instructional process that will be used to close the lesson and check for student understanding .
