MGSE9-12.A.REI.10 & 11, F.IF.7 & 9 Algebra 1 Standards  Graphing Linear, Quadratic & Exponential Functions

Learning Target:

·         I will compare and contrast linear, quadratic, and exponential functions.

Success Criteria:

·         I can identify the difference between linear, quadratic, and exponential function.

Introduction/Connection: 

Pirate Prep

We will verbally review what the graphs of LQE functions look like.

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

None

Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.  Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period.

TKES 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. 8,10

GUIDED PRACTICE: 

Students will draw the LQE functions and share with a partner.

INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION:

Students will graph LQE functions with the worksheet provided.

Describe the instructional process that will be used to close the lesson and check for student understanding .
