Activities & Assignments

FFW

Finish contrast handout. Students will split into groups to prepare presentations on each paragraph. How does each quote contribute to the overall themes of the writing?

The instructor will then introduce some frame sentences for each student to consider. These explore the complexities of Toni Morrison’s concept of work and how it evolved through the piece.

To end the day, the instructor will introduce the “Lingering Chat Wall.” Each day students will select a few quotes to add to the chatwall so we can build upon our understanding of work’s role in the lives of teenagers and adults alike.
