Learning Target:

·         I will compare and contrast data graphs and charts. 

Success Criteria:

·         I can create and analyze the following data graphs/charts:

o   Box and whisker plot

·         I can analyze percentages of box-and-whisker plots.

·         I can identify the five-summary statistics needed for a box-and-whisker plot using the data button in the calculator.

Pirate Prep

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

None.

Work Period  (We Do, You Do)

Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.  Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period.

TKES 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. 8,10

GUIDED PRACTICE: 

We will review a couple problems prior to the independent worktime.

INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION:

Students will complete the Savvas Assignment.      

Closing  (We Check)

Describe the instructional process that will be used to close the lesson and check for student understanding .

SUMMARIZE/CHECK FOR UNDERSTANDING:

Students will work on remediation skills in Savvas on assignment (can do more than the given allotted amount). If students complete their mastery on Box and Whisker Plots, students can work on remediation skills in IXL.
