Success Criteria: · I can define the following terms: mean, median, mode and outlier (not a central tendency). · I can calculate the following terms of a data set: mean, median, mode and outlier (not a central tendency). · I can calculate the mean and median using the data button in the calculator. · I can identify the appropriate times to use the following graphs to display data: o Bar graph – compares o Lin graph – shows change over time o Circle graph – parts of a whole o Uniform distribution – no mode o Unimodal distribution – one mode o Bimodal distribution – two modes o Trimodal distribution – three modes o Symmetric distribution – mirror image o Normal distribution – bell shape o Left-skewed distribution – low outliers o Right-skewed distribution – high outliers · I can create and analyze the following data graphs/charts: o Bar graph o Line graph o Circle graph o Box and whisker plot · I can analyze percentages of box-and-whisker plots. · I can identify the five-summary statistics needed for a box-and-whisker plot using the data button in the calculator. | |
