Activities & Assignments

Discovering Voice Pirate Prep

Class will begin with groups dividing up the parts for the dramatic selection from Hamlet. The groups will perform a CHORAL reading of the lines. A choral reading is one involving many actors all reading at once. This will help us learn pronunciations and soften the challenge of Elizabethan dialog.

We will then move into individual performances of the scene. The instructor will provide a few leading questions to guide students in their performance and give them an idea of the head space of the characters.
