An engaging process for lesson introduction that is specifically planned to encourage equitable and purposeful student participation. Describe the instructional process that will be used to introduce the lesson.

Algebra 1 Standards  All Standards (Project Library)

Learning Target:

·         I will use the content taught in Algebra 1 to successfully complete my ABC Book for my final exam grade.

·         I will use the content taught in Algebra 1 to create an Algebra 1 Math Flag for my final exam grade.

Success Criteria:

·         I can apply knowledge learned in Algebra 1 to complete applications/projects for my final grade. 

Introduction/Connection: 

None.

DIRECT INSTRUCTION:

Provide students with instructions and expectations on completing their ABC Book.

Provide students with instructions and expectations on completing their Math Flag

Work Period  (We Do, You Do)

Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.  Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period.

TKES 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. 8,10

GUIDED PRACTICE: 

None.  

INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION:

Students will complete their projects.

Closing  (We Check)

Describe the instructional process that will be used to close the lesson and check for student understanding .

SUMMARIZE/CHECK FOR UNDERSTANDING:

Students will meet the deadline requirements for turning in their projects along the way. Feedback will be provided to students throughout as teachers observe work shown.

Standard/s:

·         Projects for 3rd Block are due Thursday, May 25th.      

·         Projects for 1st & 2nd Block are due Friday, May 26th.
