Activities & Assignments

FFW

The class will begin with a reading from the Green knight where Gawain frets as the time passes. The instructor will invite the class to interpret or translate the text as best they can before he offers guidance. Students will then write about an event of which they worried. We will write out the details and share. The instructor will explain the universal nature of the text and how it reaches out from the past to us in the future.

Next we come to a paragraph paraphrasing the adventures of Gawain before the main story starts again. The instructor will task the class with SUPPLYING one of these stories on their own.
