Activities & Assignments
PP: Latin Root
We finish the week with an even DEEPER dive into “The First Day.” Today we take the words and descriptions of the narrator’s mother and look for instances in the story where our expectations are subverted.
We will once again return to complex sentences to share our observations. A frame sentence will be provided to help students construct a more complicated thought.
We will end with an academic discussion and explore possible alternative endings to the story and how those endings would have changed the impact.
If time remains we will close the week with a Gemkit vocab activity for Pirate bucks!
