Class will begin with a close look into the opening lines of Hamilton. We will consider the punctuation closely.
From here we will plug various versions of Miranda’s Hamilton Mixtape into a text to speech program to get a better idea of how each version sounds! The results are likely to be startling.
We will then return to the video of the Hamilton Mixtape to do a close observation of how Miranda paces his piece. Where does Miranda break his pattern? Why? We will fill out a frame sentence to answer this question.
We will end with some final thought questions and a quote from Miranda to consider.
