Activities & Assignments
PP: Latin Root
Today the class will embark on a close writing study of the various strategies used in “Tamra’s Opus.” We will model similar tactics we used in the assignment exploring “The Fight” and “What Happened During the Ice Storm.” We will pay special attention to the ways the poem delivers the father’s speech and how it affects the speaker.
The class will conclude with an analysis of an alternate ending to the poem and how it would affect the performance.
