World History Standard: Examine the effects of the Transatlantic Slave Trade on Africa and on the colonies in the Americas.


US History Standard: Describe the Middle Passage, the growth of the African population and their contributions, including but not limited to architecture, agriculture, and foodways.

Learning Target:( MAKING CONNECTIONS)

I will examine the effects of the Transatlantic Slave Trade on Africa and on the colonies in the Americas


Success Criteria:

  • I can investigate how mercantilism and Trans-Atlantic trade led to the development of colonies 

  • I can describe the Middle Passage, the growth of the African population and their contributions, including but not limited to architecture, agriculture, and foodways
