Activities & Assignments
PP: Discovering Voice

Class will begin with an overall review of the chapters 7-8. What exactly happened in this book so far? The instructor will introduce a few key paragraphs for students to annotate.

The class will then respond to a prompt about the support services in their own communities. These supports can be official groups and institutions, but they can also be less formal relationships within their lives. Silas discovers a support system in the tavern. Where could we go if the worst comes to worst.

Sharing time will commence. The instructor will also participate with his own writing. The class will pick two winners of the read-arounds for candy.
