Activities & Assignments
Latin Root
Class will begin with a quick review of the article. We will once again view the artwork. The instructor will introduce the concept of storyboards and discuss how filmmakers sketch scenes before filming.
The instructor will then distribute a handout with small boxes for students to use for their own drawing. Students will form groups to choose pivotal scenes for story boards and work together to DRAW those story boards.
When all of the story boards are finished, we will organize a viewing of each groups work with a careful emphasis on the presence of the character Jeff in each. We will respond to a prompt about Jeff and consider his role within the writing.
Class will conclude with a closing prompt and writing from Jeff’s point of view. We will then revisit the lingering chat wall to add quotes and observations.
