Class will begin with a drawing of a Venn Diagram and a brief explanation of what Venn Diagrams are and what they do. We will use this Venn diagram to chart common and contrasting elements with Morrison and Adkinson’s essays.
The instructor will then pass out paper and markers for students to draw their own diagrams exploring what the author’s “say” and “do.” What is the difference between those two concepts and how do they shape the essays?
From here students will gather evidence, compose a mutli-paragraph outline, and write an essay comparing and contrasting the two essays. We will also use some insight from the chat wall in our essays.
