Class will begin with a return to the Ben Sasse essay “What to do with kids this summer? Put ‘em to work!” A handout regarding the difference between what the essay SAYS and what the essay DOES will be distributed for students to complete.
From there the handout will form the basis for a longer assignment. The students will be asked to write scripts for a variety of PSA’s to help communicate some of Sasse’s overall points.
The class will end with more time for magazine project work.
