Read closely and analyze an article about the legacy of a novel
Success Criteria:
Students will create annotated texts with detailed notes regarding the history of The Jungle by Upton Sinclair.
Students will reflect on a time their own intentions went sour.
Activities & Assignments
PP: Latin Root
The class will begin with several stories from the instructor of historical blunders going sideways. I.E Pearl Harbor was an attempt to keep the US OUT of the war.
Students will be invited to share a moment their own intentions went sideways and explore the consequences of that moment.
Students will then read the Achieve article, write summaries, and respond to the article questions.
