Students will begin class by reading the opening paragraphs of “All the Light We Cannot See.” Students will begin with their reaction to seeing the vocab words from yesterday in their original context.
We will re-read two sections and then brainstorm on the clues that reveal historical context. On the spot research will help us identify these clues. We will create a two column chart exploring the clues and our reactions to those clues.
We will then write a complex sentence exploring our assumptions and discoveries on the novel’s setting so far. We will then explore the various ways that a film could explore the opening including types of shots and the limitations of the narrator.
