Activities & Assignments
PP: Latin Root and Achieve Time

Class will begin with time for students to finish crafting found poems from the short story samples. From here the class will share their found poems and explore potential themes that arise from the students' individual creations.

The instructor will then explain the expanded version of found poems known as Blackout poems where students physically blot the text to form poetry. The instructor will provide a packet of poems the class will soon study for students to create even more of their own found poems across a spectrum of styles. Students will be encouraged to craft the poems in a way that plays with artistic expression.

The class will end with a read around of new found poetry material. The instructor will also participate.
