PP: Discovering voice activity

Comma Rule intro!

The instructor will pass out “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot. The instructor will give a brief intro to Eliot and the poem, but let students form their own opinions as to the poems meaning. The instructor will also invite students to track the vocabulary during the initial read aloud for occasionally defining sessions.

As we read the poem, students are to look for similes and metaphors in the text. We will stop and discuss examples of these as we read.

From there students will be invited to write their own metaphors mimicking the style and poetic language of Eliot, but this time based on local areas!
