Tuesday | Standard(s): SCSh1: Students will evaluate the importance of curiosity, honesty, openness, and skepticism in science. SCSh2: Students will use standard Safety Practices for all classroom laboratory and field investigations.
LT: SC: I can describe the major attributes/characteristics of chemistry. I can identify how chemistry differs and is similar to other sciences. I can determine safety procedures for laboratory investigations. I can determine a response if a safety procedure is violated.
Lesson/Activity: Worksheet on The Ladder Method (Review) on one-side and Density math (new) on the other side. Notes on Density. Check R.A. #2. Completely fill out notecard with The Ladder Method, Density circle, and % Error formula. (Place in Best Friend’s Pocket.) Finish video clip - where students write down ALL measurements heard or seen and all equipment used through the episode. HW: Flocabulary #2: “Physical and Chemical Changes” closes TONIGHT at 11:59 p.m. R.A. #3 is due on Thursday (whenever we return post-Snow Day on Wednesday). Do missing R.A.s #1 and/or #2 and finish all worksheets in Notes section and NFPA Diamond Activity in Lab Section.

Friday | School cancelled due to Winter Storm Enzo (snow, sleet, and ice issues). Teacher work day. Student holidays have now been changed to regular school days in February and March. Next break will be Spring Break!
