1. Ask students to make a list of things they see in the room. Add as many items as possible to the list. (Can be done individually or in pairs or groups.) 

2.Collect the lists. Then ask students to name all of the items they put on the list by saying them out loud. How many items could they remember?

Differentiation:

Hearing impaired students will be seated near the front of the class. For students with exceptional needs, the teacher will read the information on the slides and problems in the text. Peer tutoring may be used to assist students having difficulty keeping up with the classroom assignments. Students with language barriers will be seated near the front of the class. For additional services, modifications will be made according to the Student’s IEP.
