My name is Katherine (Kitty) Hamilton.  I'm a graduate of Georgia Southern University, with a Bachelors Degree in Special Education, and Nova Southeastern University, with a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.  I co-teach Biology with Kristen Lipthratt, and I am a graduate of BHS (Class of 1977).  My daily lesson plans are the same as Mrs. Lipthratt's plans and a link to her calendar can be found at the very bottom of this page.
In addition to the daily lesson plan, students with IEPs receive additional accommodations including:
small group and individual assistance with assignments and projects, opportunities to plan and create project templates with organizational assistance, prompts designed to help students use their analytical skills, and direct instruction of reading strategies including determining important ideas, compare and contrast, and making inferences. When testing, students with small group accommodations will be offered a quiet setting with accommodations to meet his/her individual needs.
This school year marks my 34th year of teaching.  I've taught in Georgia, Florida, Texas and Nevada.
I can be reached through email : [email protected]  or by calling me at school: 912-267-4200 ext 6150
My planning time is during 2nd block (10:00-11:30), but you can leave a message for me anytime during the day.
